Cake Diet started like this:

A Cake Diet is a diet of cake- naughty, indulgent, “unbalanced,” but also the name I gave to a theory I had that it wasn’t cake that made you fat: it was the guilt. So this is my page of indulgence, whatever I want to explore, say, do. I don’t care who sees this. There’s nothing incriminating, because I don’t want anything dark here. I am writing about things I like, things I enjoy, things that make me smile. Sometimes useful, sometimes useless, mostly just a collection of text etc that makes me feel safe. If it makes you feel safe too, then you are welcome to spend time here :)

And then, amusingly, I found that I had IgG Food Sensitivities to three of the building blocks of cake- Wheat, Milk, and Egg White. While it’s tempting to now make this about my search for the perfect anti-cake cake, it’s a lot more than that. It’s all my random interests, everything that I am adding into and removing from my “life diet” in an attempt to feel better.

  • Some perfumes (often ones in cigarettes)
  • Honey
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), confirmed with a Tilt Test.
High morning Cortisol, diagnosed with a saliva test.
Tendency towards low Magnesium, which is probably related to the high Corisol.

Appearance

Colouring: BW, maybe erring on the side of BS or TW. To be decided. Medium ash brown hair, pinkish pale skin, deep green eyes (blue-grey with yellow sunburst).
